METALWORKING SAFETY
In metalworking, safety is a prime consideration of all concerned. Although every possible precaution is taken in their manufacturing, under certain stress conditions fracturing or even failure of an insert or tool may occur. Care should be exercised to protect operators and observers against harmful projectiles such as broken workpieces, hot or sharp flying fragments, or carbide chips. Employers and operators should follow the recommended standards for the safe use of metalworking machines and tools to help insure their safest possible operation.
